RE/SEARCH

RE/SEARCH is the Viburnum Bridge Foundation’s gateway to evidence-based collaboration. It connects our community of Ukrainian veterans with trusted researchers to deepen the world’s understanding of trauma, resilience, and recovery. Every study is ethically reviewed and participant-centered — designed to both respect and elevate the voices of those we serve.

Program Scope

2. Access & Community Engagement

1. Partnership Inquiry & Ethics Review

3. Study Execution & Support

4. Impact Reporting & Integration

Findings are shared with the VBF team and, where relevant, help inform therapy protocol development, training materials, or community-facing education. Select studies may be featured on our website, in reports, or submitted to partner journals.

We assist with scheduling, logistics, and optional integration of clinical oversight. Whether virtual or in-person, our coordination ensures a respectful and seamless research experience for all involved.

Researchers begin by submitting a brief proposal outlining their research goals, methodology, and ethical safeguards. Our internal team reviews each request with veteran advisors to ensure participant protection and relevance to community needs.

Once approved, researchers may gain access to anonymised data sets or engage directly with veterans via interviews, questionnaires, or focus groups — always under informed consent. We provide facilitation support to ensure clarity, trust, and psychological safety.
